He is back!

He has returned from his travels but has been too busy to help with the blog and keep the world informed about my life. However I had a great time with Jazz but was pleased to see him back and he did bring me some presents -even if I do detect the hand of Kerri involved in the purchase.

On our walk the other day I was trotting the path along investigating things that needed it and minding my own business when there and behold there blocking my way was a penguin(Spheniscus magellanicus to those of who know)!

It was a bit embarrassing really as I was not sure what to do

He seemed to be doing his morning exercises or just trying to impress me!

I am sure a Basset could do that with some practice

Finally I did manage to squeeze past trying not to disturb him. (It is a pity that he did not afford me the same courtesy).

I think I shall stick to the hills from now on. Plenty of space and no irritating birds who think they are fish!

By the way contrary to popular beliefs penguins can fly!

Welcome back GJ!!

HM would fear for the safety of any penguin I encountered - I hear they don't fly when chased :)

Please could you tell us why there has been no news of General Jackson since April? We always look forward to see what he has been doing.

How neat! You got to see a penguin? Wow!

I just found your blog over at Spencer's place and I really like it.

We have a Bassett in our family too and he is often featured on our blog. Stop by for a visit sometime!

Great blog!
